How to register your ECT
To register ECTs on the joint Odyssey and Balcarras ECF programme, in partnership with UCL, please click on the link below to complete the registration form.

STEP 1 - DfE Registration
If you have an ECT at your school, you are legally obliged to register your ECT, Induction Tutor and Mentor with the DfE. The DfE will check with TRA that the ECT is suitable and will inform UCL of their registration. This step is essential should be done as soon as possible.

STEP 2 - Balcarras/UCL registration
Balcarras Teaching School Hub, have partnered with UCL (Institute of Education) as our main delivery partner for the ECF and have designed a programme for (ECTs). We are working together with Odyssey Teaching School Hub to ensure that ECT's across Gloucestershire are provided with full training to meet all of the requirements of the ECF. This is a Full Induction Programme (FIP) approved by the DfE and Ofsted which allows you full funding for your ECT's and Mentors.

STEP 3 - Appropriate Body Registration
All schools are legally required to have an Appropriate Body for their ECT. This is designed to ensure that the ECT meets the Teachers Standards and completes Induction. The Appropriate Body is separate and independent of the ECF, however, for your ease and convenience we recommend you choose Balcarras Teaching School Hub.

If you choose Balcarras teaching school for your Appropriate Body, we use ECT Manager to manage their induction.
